So I have made the decision to start doing miniature cosplay with this blog. I've always wanted to jump on the cosplay bandwagon but don't have the budget nor the motivation to do it for myself. Tanner appears to be a good fit, so I'm continuing to use her as a "model". And seeing how Harley Quinn is my favorite DC character, I thought it would be fun to try her outfit.
The outfit took a total of five hours to make. The principal material is red and (the last of my) black duct tape. I tried to follow the outfit as closely as possible, but a few alterations to the original design had to be made simply because of Tanner's miniature stature. For example: I had to leave out the bell collar because her neck is way too small to have it appear "balanced" within the entire outfit.
The shoes are taken from the Lords of Salem outfit and upgraded with bead "wheels". I only wish they came out better than they did, but at least it still matches.
The belt was a single strand of duct tape with painted beads glued on for bullets and a buckle. Her "hot pants" took me the longest out of anything for this outfit, and pulling it on her was very challenging (I almost popped off her leg!) But overall they came out nicely, even though it is hard for her to bend enough to sit up straight.
Overall this was a really fun outfit and I am happy that it came out looking great! I wanna do a Star Wars character next, so stay tuned...
